Delegation Group from Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) Visited Decision Group Taiwan

Friendship and Partnership Build up between Zimbabwe and Taiwan People

<From Taipei>

ZIMRA delegation group companied by Ms. Clarice Chava, CEO of Decision Group Africa, visited R&D head office in Decision Group Taiwan and discussed future deployment of digital forensic and risk management solution with DG staff on 21st, November in Taipei. In this visit, Mr. Charlton Chihuri, Director of Loss Control, Mr. Tjiyapo Velempini, Director, Mr. Allen Pamhidzai Saruchera, IT Manager, Mr. Benjamin Zenda, officer, and Mr. Sylvester Muwombi, Electronics Technician, are all impressed by DG professional staff and technology.

Arriving on 19 November, 2011, ZIMRA delegation group with staff of DG Africa were excited about this trip, because they would also visit some of Taiwan high tech solution vendors by the help of Taipei Computer Association. Inside ZIMRA, there are lots of IT projects to speed up all internal business processes in order to provide more efficient services to all Zimbabwe people and commercial companies. Therefore, lots of solutions such as thin-client and tablet PC, POS machine for FISCAL system, CCTV surveillance system, data storage system, 3D security labeling…etc are all of their interest in this trip. Taiwan vendors with the above solutions also presented their unique products to ZIMRA officers from 22nd to 24th November in conference room of TCA.

“Thanks to our partners Mr. George Chimhini and Ms. Clarice Chava, this is the first time Zimbabwe delegation group visits Taiwan and meets Taiwan solution vendors face to face,” said Casper Chang, CEO of Decision Group “and it also means that Zimbabwe customers can directly talk their requirement to Taiwan manufacturers, and Taiwan manufacturers can understand what Zimbabwe customer needs.” Before Zimbabwe customer only communicated with Taiwan manufacturers through traders of 3rd party. It may cost lots of money and time without proper communication. By direct way, ZIMRA can easily directly talk with Taiwan manufacturers and have them customize what ZIMRA need for coming projects.

On the other hand, ZIMRA delegation also joined the first day session of Cyber Crime Investigation Training with Korean Police delegation. They were also impressed that the skill and experience Taiwan cyber police have was delivered in class, and request whether DG can design a series of professional training for IT and Auditing staff of ZIMRA in order to prevent from data leakage and business misconduct internally.

In the early morning on 25th November, ZIMRA delegation group left for home. “In this trip, we find a lot of interesting solution and products from Taiwan vendors,” said Mr. George Chimhini “but, most important, we also find the hospitality and friendship with Taiwanese people. That’s the best part we get, and we hope we can strengthen our partnership more and more by the coming cooperation.”
